Dog sledding in Siberia

As promised, here I share my latest and the most exciting experiences from all over the world. And among others, last month I had a chance to visit Siberia. Well, I can say it’s a very cold and beautiful place with friendly people living there and a plenty of great food. If you ever go there you definitely should try deer steak on grill with some home-made drinks. I believe that kind of food is also feeding your soul and all those amazing nature around was so inspiring.
One frosty and sunny day I decided to try something really special – dog sledding with Alaskan malamute “катание на собачьих упряжках” in Russian. What strikes you the most are dogs themselves. Malamutes are well furred and well-tempered dogs. First helps them to live in cold climate and second makes them good friend. The place I went was about twenty minutes from the city, pine trees and snowdrifts everywhere. A usual winter day in Siberia -27 C . A proper camping cloths and good spirit – way to go! After a small tour and meeting my new furry friends I enjoyed my ride. It was amazing, dogs seemed to enjoy sledding not less than me. They were running pretty fast pulling the sleds ahead over the snow.
Only one thing was hard – cold wind into my face. Next time I’ m going to use some protective clothing.
After the ride I had a tea with honey in a nice guest house with fireplace and honor roll. My new Alaskan friends took lots of prizes and won in different international sledding competitions.
Here is the small video for giving a better feeling of dog sledding and Siberian nature. If you decide to go to Siberia one day you should try it! http://www.alaskamals.com/
